onward

I wouldn't really call myself a follower of fashion however I do like stylish clothes and I would like to be seen as a woman who has an interesting personal style.

I will not be wearing neon bright colour block body con dresses.

A little while ago, whilst in the middle of my year long stint of unemployment = no shopping, I had a little crisis of clothes confidence and decided that from then on I would aim for a look that could be described as 'frontier meets hair metal'.

In this I mean muted, natural colours, dresses, big skirts, belted waists, homespun fabrics, shawls, corduroy, little printed cotton, brown, dusty, fur meets leather, leggings, oversized shirts, worn out, pointy shoes, big hair, gold, bangles, tight jeans, layers, high waisted slim skirts, drapey, velvet and sensible boots.

I am using this mantra to inform the way that I put my outfits together day to day, and to try and make use of all the clothes that I used to wear in a different way. I recently bought a copy of Vogue, which I don't usually do, and saw this Chloe advert.

Wow.
